About Us

Junior Achievement at Northwestern

Launched in Fall of 2013, Junior Achievement at Northwestern is dedicated to promoting the mission and activities of Junior Achievement of Chicago on the Northwestern University campus. We are proud to partner with JA Chicago as we reach out to Evanston-area schools.

Junior Achievement of Chicago gives young people the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in a global economy, plan for the future, and make smart academic and economic choices.

Junior Achievement's corporate and community volunteers deliver relevant, hands-on experiences that give students from kindergarten through high school knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.

JA programs empower students to make a connection between what they learn in school and how it can be applied in the real world - enhancing the relevance of their classroom learning and increasing their understanding of the value of staying in school.

OUR VISION

Supporting JA's core pillars of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT'S IMPACT

Junior Achievement USA reaches more than 4 million students a year.  JA Chicago is the largest office, with more than 440,000 students in the 2012-2013 school year and almost 14,000 volunteers.

Students who participate in Junior Achievement develop problem-solving and practical decision-making skills and are more likely to aspire to college and beyond.
